I'm a Good Mommy!

Taylor and I had the sweetest conversation this morning! She woke up really late and was not her happy morning self. She immediately told me she's sick. She's had bit of a cough for a week or two and an intermittent runny nose but nothing's really come of it and it hasn't been of much concern. Well, she was really whiny and started feeling a little warm about 15 mins after waking up. Took her temp. 99.9. I normally wouldn't give meds for that but she was so whiny, I gave Motrin and suspected her temp may continue to rise without it. So we headed to my bed for some snuggle time and stories.

T: I peed my bed and Daddy changed my sheet.
D: I know, honey. That's OK. He's a good Daddy, isn't he?
T: No.
D: No? Yes he is. Daddy takes good care of you.
T: No.
D: Yes. Daddy loves you. Am I a good Mommy?
T: Yeah.
D: What do I do that makes me a good mommy?
T: You play with me.
D: Yeah, what else do I do that makes me a good mommy?
T: You take me to the doctor.
D: Yeah. What else?
T: You make me feel better.
D: Yeah. What else do I do that makes me a good Mommy?
T: You take me out to see someone at school.
D: Yeah.
T: And you push me higher (we have this thing where I give her 3 pushes on the swing before I leave her at preschool)
D: Yeah. What else?
T: I don't know. I want to read the book.
D: OK. I like being your Mommy, Taylor.
T: Yeah.

She just melts my heart!
