I'm so excited to share all the craftin' I've been doing lately! Friday night was craft night at my friend, Jen's house. She invited a bunch of her mommy friends over for a kid free night of crafting. I went a month ago and it seems to becoming a monthly event. Yey!!!

On Thursday night, I finally made an altered clipboard. I bought them at the dollar store before Christmas and intended to give them as Christmas gifts. Yeah, well...I had the best intentions. It never happened. So, I made one on Thursday night and then made the pink/purple one on Friday night at Jen's. I think they turned out pretty cute! They're the perfect size to stick on the fridge or throw in your purse, or keep handy in the car for notes on the go!
Now as I said, it's pretty, but plain. Well, of course being a crafter, I had to get out my glue gun and mod podge and pretty it up. Here's how it turned out...

Tah Dah...I love it. I wish I had taken a little more time to dewrinkle the front of the lid, but ah well...wrinkles add character. It looks very pretty sitting on a shelf in my craft space, too!

So, I altered the file box while Taylor was napping. When she woke up we played with paper mache. I spent more time setting up and cleaning up than she spent actually playing with it, but she definitely liked playing with it. She was just more into having a snack and playing with her babies. We'll try it again another day. We (actually I) made picture frames. I also have some other paper mache project ideas that I'll share another time.

And, oh yeah, don't our new smocks look cute! Can't beat 'em for $2 each! (Don't mind Taylor's cracker in her mouth, as I said she was more interested in her snack than her art project!)
