We are beaming with PRIDE!

Our girl is well on her way to potty training! We were on a roll a few weeks ago going poopy on the potty, but then I think she didn't realize she could go at school (or was scared to?) and well, ya know what can happen when one holds their poop...so it began to hurt when she went and this led to refusal to go on the potty. So, we took a break and then, for whatever reason she gave it another try on Saturday. She was wearing underwear at one point and went pee. But she stopped and then I put her on the potty and she finished! That was the first time she actually peed on the potty!!!!! So, we rewarded her with a sticker.

Sunday she woke up and asked to wear underwear. She was in underwear ALL day long (except for naptime) and she didn't have ANY accidents. She earned a prize by the end of the day and wow, did that work! She woke up this morning asking ot wear underwear to preschool so, I sent her to preschool today with lots of underwear and lots of extra pairs of pants. I understand that this is all a process and I completely expecting several accidents. When I picked her up she was wearing the same clothes that I left her in! She had gone all day, using the potty and had NO ACCIDENTS!!!! She wore a diaper at naptime, but it was even dry when she got up & then she went on the potty!

We are SO proud of our baby girl. She continued her accident free streak all the way through bedtime. Of course, she'll be in diapers at bedtime for quite some time but here's hoping our "days" of changing her diapers are gone...
