"No, I want to put the lid on." "No, I want to do it." "No I want to put my shoes on." "No, I want to put my pants on." "No, I want to close the door." "No, I want to open the door." "No, I want to do up my buckle (on the car seat)." "No, I want to pack my snacks." "No, I want to get it." "No I want to put my diaper on." (That one is particularly frustrating for me because if you can diaper yourself, then you should be using the potty!!!!).
EVERYTHING we do begins with these words. A few days ago I was showing Taylor her scrapbook with her baby photos. On her 6 Months page, I wrote that she had a strong personality. At SIX MONTHS!!! Well, her personality has certainly blossomed and she is definitely strong-willed and assertive. She knows what she wants and keeping her in check is becoming a daily challenge. Some days I just want to hit fast forward and skip right to age 4. Sigh.
